Space Advisory Group (SAG)

The Space Advisory Group serves as the entry point for all space requests. It evaluates small-scale, temporary, single-department, or low-cost space needs and develops well-vetted recommendations for larger or more complex requests. Examples include office reconfigurations or reallocations within a department, minor renovations within an approved budget, and temporary or limited-scope space solutions.

Space Planning Committee (SPC)

The Space Planning Committee is the University’s primary decision-making body for all space matters. It reviews recommendations from the SAG and makes final decisions on space issues that do not involve property purchase, sale, or lease. Examples include: multi-department space decisions, permanent reallocations of space, renovations below real-property thresholds, and large-scale planning and utilization decisions.

Real Property Committee (RPC)

The Real Property Committee provides final institutional review and decision-making for all real property matters. It oversees property purchases, sales, leases, major renovations, and transactions before submission to the Chancellor, Board of Trustees, and Board of Governors, as required. Examples include: property acquisitions and dispositions, easements, leases, major renovations and demolitions, and oversight of campus-wide space strategy.
